PRE-K– Ms.Ana
Ana was born in Quito, Ecuador and came to the United States ten years ago to study English. She felt so much at home in Chicago that she decided to stay. She has a two year old daughter named Sophia, who, she says, "Inspires her to be a better person every day."  She considers herself a very easy going person. In her free time she reads Spanish poetry and her favorite author is Mario Benedetti. She loves music and visiting new places to learn about other cultures.  Ana has worked for a pre-school in Oak Park for four years, and graduated last year at Triton Collage with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood. She plans to go back to school next semester to obtain her Bachelors.

PRE-K-Kindergarten – Ms. Janna
Janna has her Masters Degree in Elementary Education from DePaul University.  She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Women’s Studies from Alma College, as well as a Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Degree from The Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago.  As a first year teacher at Plato Academy, she excited to integrate her creativity and passion for learning into her curriculum.  Janna grew up in Western Michigan and has lived in Chicago since 2000.  She enjoys cooking, entertaining and traveling.

1st/2nd/3rd Grades – Ms. Filisa
Filisa Koritsaris is coming to us after teaching 3rd grade for 2 years at Glen Grove School in Glenview, IL. She is a Plato Academy graduate who went on to attend St. Ignatius College Prep. After high school Filisa studied Broadcast Journalism at The University of Dayton. When she realized that teaching was truly what she wanted, she went back to DePaul University for her Master's Degree in Elementary Education. In addition to teaching at Plato, Filisa teaches part time at Triton College's Early Childhood Education Program. One of her best memories was spending her junior year of college studying in Italy and traveling around to 22 different countries! When she is not teaching, Filisa spends her time reading, traveling, working out and spending time with her family and friends.

 5th/6th/7th/8th Grades – Marian Koritsaris
Marian has a Masters Degree from UIC in Instructional Leadership and postgraduate credits from national Lewis University. As an alum of Plato and a parent whose three children graduated from Plato, Marian has dedicated herself to a career in education and is the core of our school and curriculum. With extensive knowledge in early childhood learning she also has a keen understanding of middle school students and what type of education they too need. She is a mentor to all our teachers and encourages them all to achieve their own teaching style. She also teaches classes at DePaul University and Triton College. This summer she served as assessor for the National Board of Professional Teaching standards.

6th - 8th Grade Mathematics - Paula Dongas
Paula has a Bachelor of Science degree from University College Galway, Ireland and a Masters in Math Education from De Paul University, Chicago. After teaching high school math for 11 years, she took a break from teaching to raise her five children, four of whom currently attend Plato Academy. Her oldest son graduated from Plato last year. Her husband Jim is also an alum of Plato. In addition to teaching math to the 6th -8th grades, she is the business manager and office assistant.

Greek Teacher - Yiannis Konstantinidis
Graduate of the Aristotelis University of Thessaloniki in Sport and Physical Education. Specialized in Track and Field with a 10 year experience as a track and field coach. 20 years of working experience as a PE teacher in all grades of education from 7-18. Coordinator of two European school programs between schools from England, Italy, France, Poland and Austria. Languages English, Italian and some French and Romanian.

Venus Campanelli - Another alum of Plato and a mom of two children that attend Plato. Venus works in the office and handles all the day-to-day activities, and chaos. She is also school nurse, lunch helper, recess monitor and anything else you want to call her. In her past life she was a Account Rep for the National Easter Seal Society.
